Welcome To QHACS

Queensland Health Academy Care Service (QHACS) is an NDIS Registered Provider and is an approved provider to deliver supports under the NIISQ.

We are owned by two Registered Nurses, we provide nurses at the cost of a support worker.

QHACS specialises in complex supports and mental health. To achieve this, we have a skilled team of enrolled and registered nurses providing supports to our clients. To support our nurses, we have a Clinical Nurse Consultant and Mental Health Nurse to ensure support needs are met for clients, and training & advice is available for nurses 24/7.

We believe that all supports provided should be the decision of the participant. We back this up with continuous training and development of all staff through our sister organisation Queensland Health Academy.

If you have particularly complex needs, we are able to provide direct nationally recognised training to our staff to ensure your wants, needs, and goals are met.

Our Care Service

Although we are a small registerd provider, we have significant skills, training and experience in supporting people with complex health and mental health needs.

QHACS is able to provide tailored support to meet your wants, needs, and goals. We specialise in complex care such as PEG management, Tracheostomy management, medications, epilepsy, ADHD, complex mental health, and more.

All complex care requirements will be provided by nurses that have been trained, assessed, and deemed competent in providing that care. All of our nurses hold general registration with the Nurses Board of Australia.

At all times, a Clinical Nurse and Mental Health Nurse will oversee provided complex care. These specialist nurses will continually assess the complex support needs of participants and liaise with the participant and/or family/guardian to seek input and consent.

Brilliant services, very professional and the staff were extremely organised and experienced.

I was hesitant to try a new provider, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the services provided by Queensland Health Academy Care Services.

Our son has behavioural problems and can be difficult to work with. Our experience with Queensland Health Academy Services was amazing and we can happily recommend this service to anyone.
